Home Visit Series Report
How are the children doing in the hot summer days? Have they done much homework? With unlimited care towards the children, teachers from Anqing Foreign Language School’s Senior High Department were busy building a home-school bridge--home visits in the particularly hot weather so that students could continue to enjoy the concerns from school though they were not at school.
To be specific, teachers communicated with students sincerely and listened to their unforgettable stories during the summer vacation; Teachers talked kindly with them and had conversations on their favorite extracurricular books; Teachers carefully checked students’ homework completion status and wholeheartedly corrected their questions which they did not understand. Evidently, the family visits were filled with teachers’ care and expectations for the children from Anqing Foreign Language School. In each family, we could see parents’ warm smiling faces, students’ surprising eyes as well as teachers’ timely encouragement, which made introverted students laugh, worried parents relieved and unselfish teachers released. Thus, let us wait for the flowers to bloom together.
In conclusion, the relationship of mutual trust and cooperation between teachers and parents is formed through communication and home visit is a better way for teachers to actively exchange with parents. By means of the implementation of home visit activities, the connection between school education and family education has been truly realized. What’s more, Anqing Foreign Language School’s teachers have not only walked into students’ family, but also entered the hearts of the children and their parents. Therefore, the education in Anqing Foreign Language school becomes warm owing to home visits.
